Castles and palaces

Uzhhorod is rich with beautiful and ancient castles and palaces like Palanok Castle, Nevytske Castle and Castle Beregvar (Palace graphs Schonborn’s). Despite different governmental authorities (dukes, barons, and graphs) castles kept their attractive look and full of lively history, mysterious legends, have the traditional chic interior of XVIII century.

Ivan Olbraht Street

Unique historical street with the ancient signs, a stone-block pavement, and a café-museum with variety of well-looked private houses. The main landmark of this street is the botanical garden which has more 120 species. The variety of plants resembles flora from all around the world: tropics (bananas and papayas), Asia (Cherry blossoms), middle climate (magnolias, tulips, lilac) and deserts (cactuses).

Riverfronts

Uzhhorod named the second Budapest with its grandiose bridges and monumental cathedrals. Neat and well-adapted riverfronts with many attractions like hiring a boat for a river ride. They have a row of cafes where serve snacks and wine, landmarks like senior high school named after T. G. Shevchenko, legendary linden alleys with mini-sculpture of Jon Lord and monument of Gnat Roshkovitch.

Restaurants and cafes

Uzhhorod is full of modern cafes with bright desserts and glamorous interior with dishes of traditional Carpathian cuisine. One of the highlights of many Carpathian food places is castles outside a restaurant like Uzhgorod Castle. Also, pay a visit to Lab Pub for tasty meat, Eat Me Café for food plates with eye-catching dressing and Mokassol Café for the tastiest coffee. Other food hotspots propose take-away food.

Waterfall Shypot

The most beautiful waterfall in the Transcarpathian and one of the wonder in Ukraine with its own legends and festivals. The territory around is pure and wild. Local residents made stone constructions around it. Also, decisive tourists can climb Gemba Mountain and test attractions like bike park or chairlift. Here everyone feels yourself unite with nature.

The capital of Transcarpathian is an old-fashioned city from the Middle Ages where suit modern traditions and tendencies. Insight into Ukraine invites you to Uzhhorod where you can choose your guide in the capital of the Transcarpathian.
